
Jake Swery
Actor & Student

Jake Swery (he/him) is an actor with experience in classical, contemporary, and music theatre. He started performing at 8 years old as a street busker and children’s entertainer in his hometown of Ottawa, Canada, and he’s loved engrossing himself in as much theatre as he can. Jake is currently a student at the College of William & Mary studying Theatre and Chemistry. He has worked with educational, community, and professional theatres in the greater Ontario area as well as the Chesapeake region, Washington DC, and Richmond. His greatest passion is building community through theatre and utilizing performance to uplift underrepresented voices.
His favorite past performances include Hal in Proof (W&M), Trinculo in Une Tempête (W&M), Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Dark Horse Theatre Co.), and Stanley in Brighton Beach Memoirs (Williamsburg Players).
When Jake isn’t working, he enjoys baking, practicing improv, watching old science fiction movies, and sewing elaborate felt and foam puppets.
